Project 2 Animated Dictionary: Final Video

Here is my final video for this project.

Reflection:
This project was confusing at first and at times I wanted to throw Flash out the window. But the over all process was good. If I had to redo I might slow it down a lot and choose a different color scheme. I think this project has helped in understanding how storyboards help in organizing a piece and how much of a pain Flash can be.

  1. Overall, the timing seems good. There were a few parts at the end that need to be slower. (where the screen is green and there is the large DIP.. couldn't read the part that flips vertical and disappears) I think the transitions work.. you are doing a good job animating the actual meaning. I enjoy where the background transitions to the blue at the part where you are talking about a pool. Good job!

  2. This is good Kristie! The only timing concerns that I have are at the end, during the green background dip a lot of elements seem a little rushed.
All of your transitions were good, but I'm not sure why the sentence, with the beach-esque background, reappears in order to transition to the exit screen where it jumps in.
Design wise...your use of stage space was excellent, but I felt that some of your typeface choices and alignment could have been tighter. For typeface, in the last frames where the second sentence is presented the type looks smashed down and stretched horizontally a little bit, which is typically a type no no. Plus its the only instance where the descriptive type is different from the rest of the piece, which also takes away from your already established consistency. Colors were great, and overall a great project execution!
