I would recommend the use of solid color backgrounds and the transition between them as opposed to the use of gradients.
As for the use of type, within the last few slides there is warping of the typeface. Typically this isn't the most effective way of manipulating the type. Maybe try scaling each individual letter.
It looks as if the story line is broken into 2 different parts. A possible way to unite it is to use the same character name.
The motion throughout seems rather consistent and everything is included except for the phonetic spelling. Neato!
- Are the notes easy to understand? o The notes are clear – they state the intent of the slide. - Are the transitions made clear? o Yes, the transitions are clear throughout the story board. - Are they making the most use of how typography can behave/move to show the information? o You could try to develop your ideas a bit more (like “DIP” falling, which could really be a visually interesting effect) in order to stay away from “clichés” like bouncing type, splashing type, etc. - Are they using ONLY type? - Yes, only type is used. - Is their sequence of information telling a consistent story or does it start to feel like Pt.1 and Pt.2? o There is a clear sequence throughout the entire storyboard. - Is there a hint of motion throughout, do you see any stopping points with just text on the screen? - It seems motion is constantly present. - Do they have the following o The word: “Dip” (present throughout). o 2 meanings: present. o 2 sentences: 2 sentences are used. o 2 parts of speech: present. o Phonetic spelling: present.
